Mental Health Treatment
Mental Health Treatment Programs
Across out treatment facilities, Aliya Mental Health offers four primary treatment progams.
Treatment levels:
- Residential treatment: Residential care provides the opportunity to live in a healing environment away from daily triggers. Here, you’ll receive around-the-clock support, daily therapy, and holistic services.
- Partial hospitalization program (PHP): PHP offers intensive treatment during the day while allowing patients to return to supportive housing or their own homes at night.
- Intensive outpatient program (IOP): With more flexibility, IOP allows individuals to attend therapy several days each week while returning to their homes, families, or communities outside of treatment hours.
- Traditional outpatient program (OP): Outpatient care provides continued guidance with fewer weekly sessions. This level of care focuses on long-term recovery, maintaining sobriety, and building support systems within one’s community.

These range from talk therapies such as individual and group therapy to expressive art therapies like music, journal, and dance/movement therapy. Medication Management
Medication management is a form of mental health treatment that involves a psychiatrist to determine the best course of medication for your needs and goals. Depending on your treatment needs and preferences, mental health medications can help to reduce symptoms of mental illnesses. While receiving residential and outpatient medication management services, you can work with one of our mental health professionals who will monitor and adjust medications as needed.
Evidence-Based Therapy
Research-based therapy for mental health disorders has become a primary tool for mental health therapists. These therapies have been studied and researched for decades, and their effectiveness in treating mental illness can no longer be denied.
There are a variety of research-based therapies used to treat different mental health issues. Some forms of research-based therapy used at Aliya Mental Health include:
- Individual/group/family therapy
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
- Rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT)
Integrated Case Management
To support holistic recovery, our case managers integrate more than just health care into your health plan. By combing care across services and systems through psychosocial rehabilitation and advocacy, we help you build skills and resources for long-term success in life. This may include:
- Assistance with FMLA
- Help navigating insurance/finding alternative payment options
- Assistance with employment and housing
- Introduction to local and national resources
- Introduction to alternative recovery programming
Dual Diagnosis Treatment for Mental Illness and Co-Occurring Substance Abuse
Dual diagnosis is having two or more mental health conditions. Co-occurring disorders pertain to both mental health and chemical dependency, such as alcohol or drug addiction. Studies have found that people suffering from both mental health and addiction challenges have the best chance at lasting recovery when both are addressed through therapy and developing new coping skills.
Does Insurance Cover Treatment for Mental Illness?
Yes! Most health insurance plans—whether employer-sponsored, private, or through the Affordable Care Act—include coverage for mental health and substance use treatment. Thanks to mental health parity laws, insurance providers are required to treat mental and behavioral health benefits similarly to medical and surgical benefits. However, coverage details vary depending on the type of coverage that you have.
